This clip tells us the true meaning of sacrifice. Watch the video below and tell me , how would you react if you we're in it? would you make the same decision? Get yourself ready and check, what is most important to you? I had Goosebumps after watching this. I couldn't help myself but cry and feel sorry for the Dad. It takes so much courage to make a decision like that. And when I thought this was just a Christian propaganda and nothing more, I was shocked to learn that this is a true story. The event happened in Pamban Bridge situated in Tamil Nadu, India when a middle aged man was appointed to roll the wheels up and down when ships arrive. To him it was a normal job until one day when he decided to bring his 9 year old son with him, he never thought it would change his life forever. The clip you saw was less brutal that what actually happened. When this little boy saw his father struggling with the wheels, he decided to help him roll them down to put the bridge back. Suddenly his finger got caught inside the wheel and started crying out. At this time, the father is up to some serious situation, if the father tries to save his son, the bridge won't come down on time. He had no choice but to ignore his son's cry. With a heavy heart he kept on rolling the wheels to let down the bridge and as the wheels rolled on, his son slowly started slipping away into the huge machine. Slowly the boy's whole body fell into it and his father could hear his bones breaking one by one, until with a loud sound, his head cracked. On the other hand, the train, where thousands of passengers are aboard, slowly rolled on the rails without a clue. And though they we're saved. one life was sacrificed . The British Government heard about this news and honored the father. In memory of this incident they placed his picture at the entrance of the bridge but that doesn't brink back anything nor does it change a thing. He may have been an honorary citizen but was he a good father? Tell me what you think... let's learn from this together.
